So, Where in The World is Le Gros Chigy?

It is in the Bourgogne Region (better known in English as Burgundy) of France. Bourgogne is one of the central regions of the 22 that make up mainland France.

Burgundy is one of France's main wine producing areas. It is well known for both its red and white wines, mostly made from Pinot Noir and Chardonnay grapes. The region is divided into the Côte-d'Or, where the most expensive and prized Burgundies are found, Beaujolais, Chablis, the Côte Chalonnaise and Mâcon.
Famous Bourguignon dishes include Coq au vin, Boeuf Bourguignon, Escargot de Bourguignon ,and Époisses de Bourgogne cheese.
Zooming in a bit Le Gros Chigy is in the South of Bourgogne in the Department of Saone et Loire.

La Gros Chigy falls within the Cluny Canton which is one of the ten comprising the Macon Arrondissement which is one of the five of Saone et Loire.

Le Gros Chigy is one of the 4 hamlets comprising Saint Andre Le Desert, which is one of the 124 communes of the Macon Arrondissement.

Saint Andre Le Desert has a population of only 269 inhabitants and covers an area of 17.87 km2. It is around 7 km long and 4 km wide, with about half of that area covered by forest.
