Renting the House at Le Gros Chigy

The time has come! Now that we will have finished the first round of renovations, its time to think about renting The House at Le Gros Chigy.

The first thing is to decide what kind of business we are going to run. Could be a bed & breakfast, Gite, self catering, home away or vacation rental. We feel that we want something that does not put large day to day demands to serve the holiday maker. Therefore, it will most likely be a week by week rental which are variously called Gites, vacation rental, vacation rental, home away etc.
We feel we are well placed being close to Cluny, Taize, Macon and Montceau les Mines. Burgundy or Bourgogne seems to be a popular area. The Clunoise area in particular offers many attractions and activities, especially during the summer.

We would appreciate your ideas and thoughts on this, so please email us using this link. Have a look at the start of the advert here an give us feedback.

A Few Pleasing Photos From Our Last Stay.

The shots below are some of the pleasing results I got during our last stay.

Business Premises in Montceaux les Mines

Waiting on some others doing business in the city centre the other day, I was struck by this row of businesses in what I suspect had been houses serving the factories along the canal.

Besides being very different to shops near the city centre in South Africa the variety of colors and the different ways in which buildings are used makes the row attractive. The trees lining the parking across the street add to the pleasantness.

The third building in the row was particularly interesting and is the subject of the next few photos. By the way I can see my posts are becoming more and more image based - what do you think? is there something else you would prefer? For example more on the development of the house or on information appropriate to holidaying in the area?
